Lately, I couldn't really find more time to read and focus on full-length novels. I attempted to reread Sacred Games earlier this August and also managed to get a hundred pages in for House of Leaves a month prior, but that didn't last long because I'm still more devoted to roleplay writing at Twitter since 2016. I could, however, read anthology because short stories are far more digestible, and there are tons of exciting collections that I know could provide me very riveting content. This page is dedicated to my most succinct thoughts for each anthology. I usually do two collections together and alternate reading a story from each every other weekend. It's a slow progress, but I'm enjoying the pace regardless.
OVERVIEWIntricately woven stories about women's suffering, intimacies, and secret longings. Machado's prose has suffused humor and horror among eight absurd and unforgettable tales. Two or three are bite-sized while one in particular is a three-course meal.

OVERVIEWGaiman believes that fiction is its own trigger warning, and he delivers a macabre feast for the senses with several of the stories included in this collection while others leave one baffled and maybe even frustrated. Overall, yet another remarkable anthology from a genius writer.
